IT Services is seeking an IT Customer Solutions Technician. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service by resolving technical issues related to the council's customer-facing technologies. If you enjoy working with people and have a passion for technology, this position is ideal. Requirements include proficiency with laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile phones, understanding of operating systems, and experience with application installations. You should also be eager to learn new technical skills and engage with the council's technology initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
1. Identifying and resolving common issues with customer technology products using creative problem-solving techniques.
2. Maintaining detailed customer notes in the ITSM system.
3. Conducting diagnostic repairs on devices such as smartphones, laptops, and desktops.
4. Building, configuring, and installing endpoints for customers.
5. Participating in the development and testing of new programs and projects.
Experience required:
* Experience in technical support of endpoints or consumer electronics.
* Knowledge of support processes and devices like laptops, phones, tablets.
* Ability to quickly grasp new technology, processes, and procedures.
* Ability to create and follow technical documentation.
* Adaptability to change.
