A leading machinery manufacturer based in Blackburn is looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their growing team. Specialising in bespoke capital equipment, this company proudly designs, fabricates, and assembles all machinery in-house - delivering custom-built solutions to clients worldwide.

What you'll be doing:
As a Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in the full design lifecycle, with a strong focus on sheet metal components. Working with SolidWorks and PDM, you'll collaborate closely with internal teams and customers to deliver fully bespoke machinery.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Designing custom machinery using SolidWorks
* Producing detailed fabrication and sheet metal drawings
* Managing design data through PDM systems
* Liaising with sales, production, and customers for smooth delivery
What you'll need:
* 2+ years' experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
* Strong SolidWorks 3D modelling and detailing skills
* Proven experience with sheet metal design
* Familiarity with PDM (Product Data Management) systems
* A practical mindset and attention to detail
* Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
Sponsorship Notice:
Visa sponsorship is available for candidates with prior hands-on industry experience who have also studied or worked in the UK. Due to the urgent nature of this hire, preference will be given to candidates currently based in the UK and available to start at short notice.
