Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Utility Consulting Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Mechanical Electrical and Technology team. Your expertise will guide clients—developers and businesses alike—through the complexities of managing utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and telecoms. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting feasibility studies and liaising with suppliers.
* Leading utility connection projects from concept to completion, managing timelines and budgets.
* Providing strategic advice on infrastructure for new developments and existing operations.
* Acting as the main point of contact with utility providers and regulatory bodies.
* Identifying and mitigating utility-related risks while advising on energy and water savings.
* Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Hold or are working towards a degree or equivalent professional qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field.
* Have a solid understanding of the utility industry, particularly in a business-to-business service delivery environment.
* Possess knowledge of the UK utility market and its regulatory framework.
* Can demonstrate familiarity with renewable technologies and relevant legislation.
Working Conditions
Location: Gerrards Cross
Hours: 40 hours per week (with some flexibility available)
