About the role
Our Supported Living Service in Boston is home to adults aged 31 to 58 years with Learning Disabilities. They enjoy a variety of activities, many social events and outings together, as well as pursuing their own individual interests.
We require caring and considerate people to support these young adults to enjoy each day to the fullest. A female Team Leader is required due to the service users’ requirements. A full driving licence will be needed to support the individuals with their everyday lives.
As a Team Leader you will provide specialised person‑centred support and work alongside the Managers of our Supported Living Services, overseeing the smooth running of these services, completing regular audits, checks, supervisions, spot checks, and updating and reviewing support plans to ensure that individuals achieve their outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Schedule and allocate work to the Support Workers.
* Support with medication, personal care tasks, and cover shifts within the services.
* Participate in the on‑call system.
Skills and Qualifications required for the role
* Previous experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities, autism and mental health issues.
* Previous experience as a Team Leader will be advantageous but not essential.
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care working towards Level 3.
* Good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn in line with clients’ needs and expectations.
* Requirement to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
