Job Description:
As a Project Engineer, you will take ownership of development and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from RFQ through to pre-production and customer approval. The role provides full lifecycle involvement, combining hands-on technical delivery with project leadership responsibility.
You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial teams, and customers to translate requirements into manufacturable, cost-effective solutions. The Project Engineer will be instrumental in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering activities to meet scope, cost, timing, and quality targets.
Key responsibilities include leading feasibility assessments, supporting cost estimation and RFQ activity, managing Bills of Materials, coordinating procurement inputs, and producing robust engineering documentation. You will also contribute to validation planning, customer submissions, and the continuous improvement of project engineering processes.
In this role, the Project Engineer will help shape engineering standards, mentor team members, and support the delivery of complex projects within a structured, quality-driven environment.
Skills & Experience:
• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience supporting development or NPI projects within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in feasibility analysis, cost estimation, and engineering documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing data.
• Working knowledge of validation and quality tools such as FMEA, PPAP, and process documentation.
• Confident communicator with experience working cross-functionally.
