Role Overview
Join our Primary Care Services secretarial team and provide innovative care to our patient population as part of an outstanding CQC‑rated organisation. The role will be based primarily at Moorcroft Medical Centre but will require travel to Holmcroft Surgery and Keele Health Centre with reasonable notice.
Responsibilities
* Send referrals created by clinicians to relevant services.
* Process subject access requests and non‑NHS forms related to patients.
* Use EMIS, iGPR and Microsoft software (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
* Send referral letters to secondary care.
* Complete SARS and non‑NHS requests.
* Work within processes and protocols to comply with CQC, clinical and information governance requirements.
* Maintain broad knowledge of all tasks and request further support or training when knowledge gaps are identified.
* liaise with practice team members, outside agencies and patients for general queries.
* Contribute to projects or pilots the practice may undertake.
* Act upon clinical team queries and/or instructions from the clinical team.
* Identify issues requiring further management and alert the appropriate team member.
* Assist in setting up and adhering to appropriate protocols.
* Cover team absences to ensure a safe working environment and preserve safe working systems.
* Provide reception cover as required.
