Foster Care Associates (FCA) is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Senior Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly team on a 12-month fixed term basis. Your Role
As a Senior Supervising Social Worker, you will:
* Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
* Supervise, support, and monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
* Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
* Work collaboratively with the child's network to identify needs and contribute to relevant meetings.
* Ensure compliance with documentation for each child and foster parent.
* Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams regarding individual care packages.
* Promote the participation of children and young people in agency development and community resources.
* Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
* Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
* Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
* A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
* The willingness and ability to travel across the Leicestershire/Peterborough/Lincs area.
* A full driving licence.
Working Conditions
This is a home-based role with occasional travel to Peterborough for team meetings and support groups, as well as visits to foster families in their homes. You will also attend regional events at our Sheffield office from time to time.
