Role - Architect (Licensed in France) at Foster + Partners
Location - Battersea, London • Employment Type: Full-time | Permanent
Foster + Partners, a global studio for architecture, engineering, and design, is seeking an experienced Architect licensed in France to join our Battersea-based head office in London.
We believe the best architecture emerges from a deep integration of structure, services, ecology, light, form, and context. We’re looking for an architect who shares our belief in a holistic design approach and is ready to contribute to pioneering international projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Understand the design vision and contribute to its development
* Produce drawings, models, images, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
* Coordinate with internal design teams and external consultants
* Take responsibility for specific design areas as required by project leads
* Ensure compliance with Foster + Partners\' procedures and standards
* Maintain records of professional development in line with RIBA or equivalent requirements
Required Qualifications and Skills
* Fully qualified and licensed to practice architecture in France
* Legally eligible to work in the UK
* Strong conceptual and design skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly
* Proficiency in a range of media to communicate and develop design proposals
* Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines under pressure
* Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated, proactive, and highly organised
* Understanding of the architect’s role in project coordination and delivery
* Experience mentoring junior team members
* Awareness of project budgets and timelines
* Working knowledge of tools such as Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
