Interim Credit Controller
Location: Birmingham (Central - office-based, 5 days per week)
Contract: 6 month FTC (strong potential to extend)
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000
The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Credit Controller to join a large, fast paced finance team in central Birmingham.
This role is suited to a confident and commercially minded professional who can take ownership of the credit control function, build strong relationships, and drive cash collection performance from day one. You'll be joining a business undergoing positive change, offering excellent exposure and a highly engaging working environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely payment
2. Proactive chasing of outstanding debt via phone and email
3. Building strong relationships with key clients to improve cash flow
4. Allocating incoming payments and maintaining accurate records
5. Resolving invoice queries efficiently to minimise delays
6. Producing aged debt reports and supporting month-end processes
7. Working closely with wider finance and sales teams
About You
8. Proven Credit Control experience within a fast paced environment
9. Previous interim/temp contract experience essential
10. Ability to hit the ground running and deliver immediate results
11. Ideally AAT qualified or studying towards
12. Experience in medium to large finance teams
13. Strong communication and negotiation skills
14. Resilient, proactive and target-driven mindset
