A leading public sector organisation is seeking a Procurement Manager to deliver its procurement programme through a strategic business partnering approach. This role ensures procurement is robust,mercially effective, and aligned with organisational values, while managing risk and supporting corporate success.You’ll play a key role in delivering the procurement plan forward, supporting strategic goals and improving oues for service users.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver a responsive, high-quality, customer-focused procurement service.
2. Leadplex procurement projects in line with internal controls and public sector regulations.
3. Ensure contractsply with statutory requirements including the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and Procurement Act 2023.
4. Advise on supply market developments and procurement innovation.
5. Implement strategies to manage procurement risk and maintain the Contracts Register.
6. Provide supplier appraisal and contract management support to business groups.
7. Leadmercial negotiations with suppliers.
8. Produce timely reports for senior stakeholders.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procurement legislation and best practice.
Essential Skills & Experience
10. MCIPS qualified or working towards.
11. Experience in housing or wider public sector procurement.
12. Proven track record in delivering successful procurement programmes.
13. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
14. Experience managingplex procurements and supplier relationships.
15. Excellent understanding of contract forms and procurement legislation.
16. Strongmunication, negotiation, and project management skills.
Desirable
17. Experience managing full tendering processes.
18. Familiarity with geographically dispersed procurement environments.
19. Experience in asset management orpliance-related procurement.
