Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
* Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure student progress.
* Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students in grades 1 and 2.
* Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation and reports.
* Utilize behavior management and intervention strategies to create a positive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience
* Valid Special Education teaching credential with Mild/Moderate authorization (required).
* Experience teaching elementary-aged students (grades 1-2) with mild to moderate disabilities.
* Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
* Effective communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and colleagues.
* Commitment to student growth and individualized instruction.
