Role Overview
The Principal Program Financial Analyst (PFA) serves as a strategic partner to program management, driving programs toward financial targets such as revenue, profitability, and cash flow. This role requires a deep understanding of program economics and profitability drivers, translating insights into actionable recommendations. The PFA will support multiple programs across Rapiscan, AS&E, and S2 Global.
Responsibilities
1. Lead project accounting activities, including the estimates-to-complete (ETC) process.
2. Prepare, analyze, and review program baselines, actuals, and estimates-at-completion (EAC), focusing on detailed variance analysis.
3. Communicate financial insights and business impacts to Finance and Management teams.
4. Develop budgets and establish baselines for new revenue or R&D programs in line with company policies.
5. Support monthly forecasting by preparing accurate program-level sales and gross margin projections.
6. Analyze monthly financials with emphasis on gross margin accuracy.
7. Respond to customer inquiries with relevant financial data, including actuals and expenditure profiles.
8. Assist with month-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial entries via the Projects module.
9. Collaborate across functions to achieve team objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
14. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across all organizational levels.
15. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex data clearly.
16. Flexible and proactive, with a “can-do” attitude and willingness to take on varied tasks.
17. Self-motivated problem solver with minimal supervision required.
18. Skilled in managing multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
19. High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
20. Proficient in financial systems and tools, including Microsoft Dynamics (D), Excel, and PowerPoint. D experience is essential.
21. Background in Finance or Accounting preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
22. Several years of experience in program finance/accounting, particularly in ETC and EAC preparation.
23. Deep understanding of financial costing, pricing, reporting, and invoicing; knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.
