Who You Are You are a qualified Property Lawyer, either as an admitted Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, with rights of audience in the County Court. You have experience in both residential and commercial property work and a solid understanding of Housing law and Civil Court Procedures. Your exceptional communication skills allow you to articulate complex legal issues clearly and persuasively. What the Job Involves As a Property Lawyer, you will handle the complete range of conveyancing work for the Council, managing complex acquisitions and disposals, and dealing with conveyancing aspects of sales to tenants and housing associations. You will be responsible for drafting and serving Notices under Part II Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and preparing legal documentation for inquiries and tribunals. Additionally, you will work on special projects, uphold the Council's customer care standards, contribute to policy development, and continuously seek improvements in service delivery. You will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Members of Parliament and Courts.
