Overview
A full-time and a part-time, permanent Scheme Support Officer, in our emergency accommodation service in Pontypridd. You will be required to work on a rota basis which includes days, weekend availability and waking nights. This role is based in Pontyprdd, Rhondda Cynon Taf. Working in a team, you will provide support to 12 individuals who are experiencing homelessness. You will face complex behaviours and needs, including substance misuse, mental health and offending behaviour. You will provide housing related support to equip our customers with the knowledge, skills and tools to live independent lives.
Responsibilities
* Engaging and interacting with the people we support, including attending external agency appointments with them.
* Delivering support sessions relating to tenancy management, life skills, and health & wellbeing.
* Arranging and carrying out activities with the people we support to provide meaningful activities and physical health.
* Managing the maintenance and health & safety of the building.
* Managing visitors to the building.
Qualifications and qualities
* Relevant experience is not always necessary, but you should have the following:
* A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible.
* An enthusiasm and passion for supporting people to achieve the best outcomes.
* A strong ability to create relationships that are open and honest.
* A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being an effective team player.
* Ability to deal with conflicting and demanding situations.
* A driving licence and access to a car.

Remuneration and benefits
* £24,531.00 FTE (£12.75 per hour) - 37 hours and 16 hours available
