Following the recent internal promotion of one our Activity Support Officers we have opportunities for new people to come and join Southgate School to provide support to our classes during the lunchtime period.
Making a difference
In your role of Activity Support Worker, you will have the chance to make a positive impact on our pupils by providing a range of activities both indoors and outdoors. You will be part of a positive staff team who support each other and you will help to ensure staffing levels remain consistent during the lunchtime period.

How you will make a difference
Encouraging and developing pupils social skills
Encouraging and taking part in activities and games both indoors and outdoors with pupils
Using informal discussion and play situations with pupils to encourage good relationships
Supporting pupils to develop their life skills around food and eating
Assisting with the personal care and necessary minor medical treatments of pupils, i.e. toileting and intimate care issues (as per school guidance and direction).
