Wise Employment is recruiting for a permanent CNC Machinist (Miller) position at a reputable company based in Plymouth.
Salary: £33,462 per annum. Working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 7am to 3:30pm and Friday 7am to 2pm).
Responsibilities
* Programming, setting up and operating XYZ Prototrak and LPM CNC Machinist milling machines to manufacture low volume and one-off components in a variety of materials.
* Using inspection equipment to ensure all sizes, geometric tolerances and surface finish requirements are adhered to.
* Checking own work and possessing strong knowledge of Health and Safety procedures to use manual machinery to finish work off if required.
Qualifications
* Strong background in Engineering Manufacturing with at least 5 years’ experience, preferably within a precision engineering environment.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications ensuring all components are within specified tolerances.
* Experience working to tight tolerances and good comprehension of geometric tolerances and symbols.
* Knowledge of grinding and turning is advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
