Role: Field Service Engineer
Type: Permanent
Pay: Up to £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm, Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, On-call rota: 1 week in every 6 (paid)
Location: Peterborough
I'm supporting a well-established engineering and manufacturing business that, due to continued growth within their Field Service division, is looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer. This is a customer-facing, hands-on role where you’ll be at the frontline of the business, delivering high standards of service and technical support across critical environments.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality technical support and customer service across their product range.
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems in the field.
* Identify and report product faults, early failures, and corrective actions.
* Improve efficiency through high first-time fix rates and reduced return visits.
* Work closely with internal teams to improve service performance and customer satisfaction.
Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications
* Experience in a field service or technical role.
* Customer-facing experience with a strong service-driven mindset.
* Experience with fire systems, alarms, or communication systems is advantageous.
* Basic knowledge of electrical and communication systems.
* Full UK driving licence and eligible for DBS clearance.
