Job Description
Payroll and Benefits Specialist Payroll Management
8. Process accurate and timely monthly UK payroll using payroll systems (experience with ADP iHCM is advantageous).
9. Serve as the escalation point for complex payroll queries, including tax, National Insurance, statutory leave, and pay discrepancies.
10. Review, reconcile, and validate payroll outputs with a high degree of accuracy.
11. Lead annual payroll activities, including P11D reporting and year‑end reconciliations.
12. Support Finance with audits, variance analysis, and technical payroll queries.
13. Drive improvements to payroll processes, controls, and documentation.
Benefits Administration
14. Manage the company car scheme, including orders, renewals, approvals, and compliance activities.
15. Administer a range of employee benefits such as pensions, healthcare, Cycle to Work, SAYE, and other UK benefit programmes.
16. Ensure benefits data is accurately reflected in payroll and compliant with UK regulations.
17. Support annual benefit renewals and employee enrolment cycles.
HR Coordination & Support
18. Support on boarding and off boarding processes, ensuring payroll and benefits records are updated accurately.
19. Maintain high‑quality employee data across HR and ERP systems, performing regular audits and corrections.
20. Assist with site inductions, HR communications, and engagement initiatives.
21. Support HR projects, cyclical changes, reporting requirements, and issue resolution activities.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll and Benefits Specialist should have:
22. Strong UK end to end payroll exposure - understanding of all statutory requirements
23. Experience within numerous pay variances
24. Multi payroll system exposure
25. Strong knowledge of HMRC compliance and tax rules
26. Experience with benefits administration and partnering with external providers
27. Strong excel user - pivot tables, vlookups etc.
28. To be within a commutable distance of the office
29. CIPP Qualification (Highly desirable)
