Operations Manager
Location: West Cross, Swansea
Hours: 20 hours per week
Salary: £34,724 – £37,023 (JNC pay points 23–25, pro rata)
Contract: 2 years (with potential for extension, subject to funding)
Start Date: September 2025 (negotiable)

Linden Church Trust and the Red Community Project are looking for a skilled and motivated Operations Manager to join their leadership team and help them deliver their mission of bringing people together to support people through life’s biggest challenges.
Based at their friendly and welcoming Wellbeing Hub in West Cross, you’ll play a vital role in managing grants, evaluating the impact of their work, co-ordinating volunteers across projects, and securing new funding that sustains and grows our impact across Swansea.
About the Role
You will:
Manage and monitor existing grants, ensuring full compliance with funder requirements.
Design and implement robust evaluation plans to measure the impact of their community work.
Lead their volunteer coordination strategy, from recruitment and training to supervision and celebration.
Identify new funding opportunities and write compelling, high-quality grant proposals.
Be part of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to strategy, policy and organisational development.
What You’ll Need
They are looking for someone with:
Proven experience in grant writing, project evaluation or volunteer management (experience in all three is ideal but not essential).
Strong communication, organisation and data analysis skills.
A heart for community and a commitment to their values of empowerment, kindness and belonging.
Confidence to work independently and collaboratively in a flexible, dynamic team.
IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and online collaboration tools.

In Swansea, there is a ‘Compact’ – an agreement between the local authority and the third sector that outlines the ways we will work together. To feed into this, a Compact Liaison Committee exists which is made up of representatives from across the Council, and the local third sector.
