Prospero Teaching are seeking dedicated SEN Tutors to join our growing team in and around BN27. As an SEN Tutor, you will work with learners aged 4 to 18 years old, delivering tailored tuition in English and Maths. Our students require flexible support, with tuition hours varying based on individual needs. You'll be helping young people build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve their learning goals in a safe and supportive environment. About the Role: Mentoring is a powerful provision that helps young people: Build confidence and self-esteem Develop positive relationships with trusted adults Re-engage with education and learning Explore hobbies and interests that bring joy and purposeEach young person is unique, and the level of input required will vary. Some may need regular sessions, while others benefit from short-term support during key transitions. As an SEN Tutor you will: Be empathetic and adaptable to the student's unique learning needs. Be committed to building confidence and filling gaps in knowledge. Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Work collaboratively with the student and their family to set achievable goals.About you: Patient, positive, and nurturing in their approach Experienced in working with children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs Able to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles Skilled in delivering English and Maths tuition Available for part-time or full-time hours Have at least 1 year of experience working in UK schoolsPosition - SEN Tutor Contract or position start date - ASAP Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A Full time/part-time - Opportunities for both Hours - Varied Essential & Desirable Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of UK school experience Proven experience supporting learners with additional needs Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) Relevant teaching or tutoring qualifications (desirable but not essential)To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must: Hold right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide references upon request Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
