37 hours per week / fixed term until 31 March 2027 / Working pattern Monday-Wednesday 09:30-17:30, Thursday 11:00-19:00, Friday 09:00-16:30 (to be confirmed).
Role Overview
We are looking for a specialist housing advisor to join the Youth Advice Centre (YAC) team in Brighton. This role supports young people aged 13‑25 to understand their housing options, make referrals on their behalf, and advocate when needed, ensuring they receive the right support. You will be based within the advice centre, deliver one‑to‑one support, and run prevention and early intervention workshops in schools, colleges and other youth settings.

* Deliver workshops on prevention and early intervention in schools, colleges and other youth settings.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in a housing or advice setting is desirable but not essential, as full induction and training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be able to engage with young people, hear their voices, collaborate on support plans addressing holistic needs, professionally challenge decisions, work with professional networks for additional support, identify safeguarding concerns and risk, and maintain strong professional boundaries at all times.
