Responsibilities
1. Managing and executing statutory audits, overseeing all stages from planning to completion.
2. Taking initiative and managing audit teams to ensure timely completion within the budget.
3. Serving as the principal client contact during on-site fieldwork.
4. Supervising on-site teams and supporting their development.
5. Delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
6. Reviewing team work, supervising associates, and assisting senior managers with project management and client communication.
7. Reporting to a Senior Manager on complex audits and managing a small client portfolio as a manager.
8. Ensuring work profitability and adherence to professional standards and client satisfaction.
9. Supporting the team to deliver quality audits and providing insightful feedback to clients.
10. Contributing to continuous improvement within the team.
11. Managing assurance and risk management projects, liaising with clients, and preparing reports.
Purpose of the role
As a qualified Accountant, Assistant Managers in our Audit division lead teams on various audit assignments, with a focus on corporate clients. This role requires expertise in handling complex groups and reporting structures.
* Adhere to deadlines and communicate proactively about potential issues.
* Identify opportunities for additional services from other firm experts.
* Manage work in progress and billing processes.
* Perform additional duties as needed.
* Experience with complex groups and liaising with component auditors is highly desirable.
Technical skills, experience & knowledge
* Provide practical business advice and escalate significant issues to the partner.
* Thorough understanding of business cycle controls and audit risks, recognizing control deficiencies.
Required Qualifications
* Membership in a CCAB body (e.g., ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS, ICAI, AICPA).
* Commitment to ongoing professional development in relevant areas.
