Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a lovely primary school in Horsham. This part-time position offers regular, rewarding work and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the educational journey of young learners.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Learning Support Assistant:
* Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities.
* Work with pupils one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning.
* Assist with behaviour management and ensure a positive learning environment.
* Prepare learning materials and resources as directed by the teacher.
* Support children with additional needs, providing individualised assistance.
* Help with classroom organisation, displays, and tidying.
* Supervise pupils during breaks, transitions, or off-site activities.
* Provide pastoral support to pupils and help encourage positive social skills.
* Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold school policies at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience working in a school setting is essential.
* DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Ability to adapt quickly within a busy, fast-paced primary environment.
* A proactive, patient, and supportive approach to working with children.
