Service Care Solutions are working with a growing local authority in Hertfordshire. They are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Legal Assistant on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal support professional to join a busy team and contribute to a high-volume property and conveyancing service. Job Title: Conveyancing Legal Assistant Location: Hertfordshire (Office-Based) Contract: 3 Months (Potential Extension) Pay Rate: £18–£20 per hour Umbrella (DOE) PAYE (Inc.Hol) - £16.38 - £18.38 (DOE) Key Responsibilities as a Conveyancing Legal Assistant: Provide hands-on support throughout the conveyancing process, assisting with a range of property transactions while ensuring all work complies with current legislation and regulatory requirements. Act as a key point of contact for internal departments, external clients, and third parties—handling queries, sharing updates, and always maintaining clear and professional communication. Manage your own caseload effectively, prioritising tasks and responding quickly to urgent matters as they arise. Prepare, check, and process legal documentation with a high level of accuracy, ensuring deadlines are consistently met. About you as a Conveyancing Legal Assistant: Must Have GCSE qualifications including English and Maths, and one A-Level subject, or NVQ Level 4 Legal Diploma in property related law/conveyancing, or equivalent qualifications or experience. Knowledge of Housing Act Right to Buy procedures and conveyancing practices and procedures. Proven track record of high-standard communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently. Additional legal qualifications or certifications related to property law.
