Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel Manager to lead our operations and uphold our reputation for outstanding guest service. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring seamless coordination between accommodation services, golf club facilities, and our wedding venue operations.
Key Responsibilities Operations Management
Oversee daily operations of the 32-bedroom hotel, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, comfort, and service reporting to Deputy GM
Coordinate with golf club operations to provide integrated guest experiences
Manage The Meadow Barn wedding venue operations, working closely with couples and event coordinators
Implement and maintain operating procedures that reflect our family business values
Guest Experience
Ensure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction across all services
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and care
Develop and maintain relationships with repeat guests and local community
Monitor online reviews and reputation management across all platforms
Team Leadership
Recruit, train, and manage hotel staff including reception, housekeeping, and maintenance teams
Foster a positive working environment that reflects our family business culture
Conduct regular staff meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions
Ensure all staff are knowledgeable about hotel facilities, local attractions, and golf club amenities
Financial Management
manage budgets for hotel operations
Monitor revenue performance
Control costs while maintaining service standards
Prepare regular financial reports for ownership
Compliance and Safety
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Maintain required licensing and certifications
Implement and monitor security procedures
Ensure fire safety and emergency procedures are current and staff are trained
Essential Requirements Minimum 3-5 years experience in hotel management or senior hospitality role
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Financial acumen with experience in budget management
Knowledge of hotel management systems and reservation platforms
Understanding of health and safety regulations in hospitality
Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desirable Requirements Experience with wedding or event venue management
Golf industry knowledge or experience
Local knowledge of Stratford-upon-Avon and surrounding area
Degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field
Experience working in family-owned or independent hospitality businesses
