HGV Class 1 Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in LICHFIELD, STAFFORDSHIRE. Shift times: Monday - Friday: start times 03:00 - 07:00 Monday - Friday: start times: 17:00 - 22:00 Rates of Pay: Days: £17.50 per hour Lates: £18.50 per hour Benefits: Your benefits as a HGV Class 1 Driver are: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay Site canteen Training provided Immediate starts Employee well-being program Rates of Pay: Days: £17.50 per hour Lates: £18.50 per hour Day to Day Duties: Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to: Depot to NDC deliveries No handball (working on box unit) Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhere to traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed Essential Skills As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a good level of English Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: Experience driving any commercial vehicles Previous experience with multi drop deliveries Training Drivers Assessment must be completed After successful Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction Industry related training and ongoing support throughout Contact If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below or get in touch with our recruitment team to find out more People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process
