UX Designer - Contract

Reading - 5 days per week in the office
£300-£400 per day - Outside IR35
This UX Designer contract offers the opportunity to work on high-impact eCommerce journeys for a large consumer-facing digital platform. The project focuses on improving how customers discover, view, and engage with products, with design decisions driven by insight, research, and usability best practice. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative on-site team, suited to a contractor who enjoys close partnership with product and technology stakeholders.

The Role and Deliverables
* Design intuitive, user-centred experiences across key eCommerce journeys
* Translate UX research, insights, and trends into clear, effective design solutions
* Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma
* Work within and contribute to established design systems and component libraries
* Collaborate closely with researchers, product managers, and engineers in an on-site environment
* Present design concepts and rationale clearly, incorporating feedback iteratively
Your Skills & Experience
* Strong experience delivering UX and UI design within eCommerce or consumer-focused digital products
* Proven ability to convert research and insight into practical, user-focused design outcomes
* High proficiency with Figma and working within design systems
* Solid understanding of interaction design, usability, and customer journeys
* Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Comfortable working full time, five days per week, on-site in Reading
