The AssociateDirector of Nursing with the Clinical Directorand the Associate Director of Operations, share accountability for theoperational performance and strategic development of their Clinical BusinessUnit (CBU). This includesaccountability for high quality patient care, patient safety, clinical qualityand governance, the delivery of agreed performance and financial objectives,and ensuring that the CBU operates with the needs of patients as its highestpriority.

Main duties of the job
You will lead, inspire and develop the Nursing &AHP workforce to deliver high quality, patient centered care
You will beresponsible for delivering visible leadership across the CBU in order toconstantly improve the experience of care for our patients and those importantto them. You will ensure that care is delivered with compassion to a highstandard, to ensure a positive experience of care and achievement of clinicalquality standards as measured through the collection and use of relevantclinical indicators and audits.
You will be instrumental in leading the safestaffing agenda by developing and sustaining a workforce that has the right skills,in the right place at the right time, and support our commitment to the PeoplePromise.
You will support the Directorof Nursing, Midwifery & AHPs and the Deputy Director of Nursing with thedelivery of the wider corporate Nursing & AHP agenda including the deliveryof the Trusts objectives, as part of the senior Nursing, Midwifery & AHPteam

Qualifications
* RN (Level 1 Adults / Children's as appropriate)
* Masters degree or equivalent level of skill acquired through experience
* Training qualification e.g. ENB 998/Supporting learners in Practice
* Formal management qualification or equivalent level of skill acquired through experience.
* Evidence of ongoing relevant professional development
Experience
* Relevant experience in nursing management at Band 8a or above in a related field
* Understanding of topical nursing issues
* Awareness of political and professional agenda in nursing and NHS management.
* Proven record of successfully implementing change
* Demonstrable understanding and experience of management, and handling of data and information.
* Budgetary management and workforce development experience.
* In depth understanding and experience of clinical governance and quality management.
* Proven experience of leading and delivering the patient quality and safety agenda.
