Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to Patients in a primary care setting. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow clinical ledgers effectively. The Healthcare Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals and under the leadership of our Clinical Lead to ensure the well-being of our Patients.
Responsibilities
* Support the surgery targets under the QOF framework, duties to include but not limited to Blood pressure recordings, ECGs, Wound care, Phlebotomy, New patient Health checks.
* Stock takes
* Chaperone
* Maintain accurate records of care provided to Patients.
* Foster a warm and supportive environment for Patients.
* Communicate effectively with Patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* On occasion, Drive to clients' homes as required for home care services and work from our branch Surgery.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a Gp Practice is preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving possible home visits.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
