The Role
The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for coordinating our welding/fabrication and industrial coatings operations. This is an office based role focused on planning, oversight, and control rather than hands on production. The position will play a key part in improving consistency within fabrication and ensuring our coatings department is developed in a structured and sustainable way.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for aligning manufacturing activities across departments, maintaining quality and compliance standards, and supporting business growth.
Key areas include:
* Coordinating fabrication, welding, and coatings workflows
* Managing QA/QC systems and ensuring compliance with UKCA/CE requirements
* Overseeing welding standards, procedures, and inspection processes
* Supporting tender submissions and project planning
* Working closely with engineering and production teams
Required Skills
* Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
* Good understanding of welding processes and quality requirements
* Experience with QA/QC systems and compliance
* Ability to read engineering drawings
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g. ISO9001, ISO3834, ISO 1090)
* Experience with industrial coatings
