We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and progressive Obstetrics and Gynaecology service in Ayrshire for a period of 12+ months. The post is predominantly an Obstetrics post with a regular antenatal clinic and a scan list. The successful candidate will contribute to both obstetrics on call shared between a team of 20 consultants and will bring leadership skills to develop our service, specifically regarding quality improvement and safety.
Applicants must hold full GMC registration with a License to Practice and be on the Specialist Register. RCOG ATSM qualifications (or equivalent experience) in Advanced Labour Ward Practice, Fetal Medicine, Fetal Care, Acute Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy would be desirable.
The terms and conditions of service are those determined by the new Consultant contract (Scotland 2004) and the post offers a 10 programmed activity basis.
