About the role?
We are looking for 2 project managers to join the team. You will be part of an exciting programme that will help us transform how we move customers. Leading and managing projects and workstreams within the overall programme you will be responsible for their deliverables, the project teams day-to-day activities, and driving and overseeing the delivery; ensuring objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints.
You will manage all aspects of governing a project including planning, risk and budget management, while ensuring the project accurately reports its progress.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Deliver projects in accordance with business project methodologies.
* Utilise project management software to manage work breakdown structures.
* Identify key stakeholders and develop effective relationships.
* Identify requirements based on stakeholder needs.
* Lead the project to deliver agreed outputs within time, cost, and quality constraints.
* Day-to-day management of project and key stakeholders
* Track delivery within budget and schedule/manage resources.
* Ensure benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked and owned.
* Identify/monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate.
* Provide key reports and support effective governance and decision making.
* Adhere to formal project change management processes.
About you?
You will have sound knowledge of project governance, as well as project management terminology, methodologies, tools and techniques.
You will have proven skills in:
* Project Management
* Facilitation
* Proficient in MS applications
* Leadership and leading through engagement
* Negotiation
* Risk/issue management
* Planning – WBS, Gantt
* Stakeholder management and building collaborative relationships
* Communications management
* Reporting
* Budgets
You will have a track record of:
* Delivering projects in a multi-disciplinary environment, driving delivery and improving performance
* Feasibility assessment and business case development
* Business process improvement
* Requirements definition
* Business acceptance testing
* Business change deployment
What do I need?
Essential
* Qualified with either PRINCE2 Practitioner/Agile Project Management Practitioner or APM Project Management Qualification
Desirable
* Agile/scrum methodologies
* PMO and/or project governance experience
About the location
This role is based at Milford House, Swindon, with occasional travel required across the network. The team also works in a hybrid capacity to meet business needs.
Working pattern
This role is full time, 37 hours a week.
