Here at Driver Hire Southampton we are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Night Drivers to work on behalf of our clients specialising in general haulage deliveries.
About this Class 1 Night role:
1. Ongoing work between Monday to Friday
2. Start times vary between 6:00pm and 8:00pm (10–12-hour shifts)
3. Deliveries and collections of palletised general haulage goods
4. Driving a Class 1 curtain sider (double decker & single deck)
5. One delivery to main hub in the midlands
6. Pallets are forklifted off the vehicle
7. ADR Qualification is beneficial
Requirements from you as a Class 1 Driver:
8. Full UK Class 1 licence with valid CPC and Digi card
9. Minimum of 1 year experience driving a Class 1 vehicle
10. Double decker experience
11. Strapping experience
12. Experience with curtain side trailers/ general haulage deliveries
13. Own transport to commute to and from work
14. Fantastic time keeping and communications skills
15. Complete daily vehicle checks
16. Comply with the company’s health and safety procedures and record Tacho hours correctly
