The department is research active, offering opportunities to engage with audit and research.

This post is ideally suited to a doctor seeking a career in Haematology and who wishes to obtain further experience prior to speciality training application. Applicants to general practice and other specialities may also find this a useful experience.

* Medical Cover for Non‑Malignant Haematology Inpatients, including Daily Ward Rounds (alternating with colleagues)
* Medical Cover for Non‑Malignant Haematology Day Case patients (alternating with colleagues)

* Consultative/Liaison Haematology provision to LUHFT

Job responsibilities

Working as part of a multiprofessional team including Consultants, Haematology trainees, Advanced and Specialist nurses, Pharmacists, Psychologists and Biomedical Scientists, the successful applicant will deliver the highest standards of care to our (non‑malignant) Haematology patients through:

* Supporting the management of Haematology inpatients, including ward round reviews
* Participation in Audit & Research
* Laboratory support including reporting and advice on results
* Multiprofessional education including Haematology Trainees, Nursing and laboratory colleagues
