We are seeking a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school team on an ongoing, long-term temporary basis on a 3 to 4 day work week, starting mid-October 2025. The role involves providing 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil who requires additional help to access learning.

Staff work collaboratively to support children's development through engaging activities, meaningful interactions, and a nurturing environment that promotes confidence and independence.
Duties as Year 5 Teaching Assistant:
* Provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil, focusing on academic progress and engagement.
* Assist with adapting and delivering learning activities to meet individual needs.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to ensure the pupil is supported effectively.
* Encourage independence and confidence in learning.
* Support the pupil’s social and emotional development in a positive and inclusive way.
Ideal Year 5 Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a school setting is essential.
* An understanding of supporting children with additional learning needs as a Year 5 Teaching Assistant.
* A patient, encouraging and positive approach.
* Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
* A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification.
