Your future job
As Area Sales Manager, you will be the face of our brand in the Midlands. You will represent the Mohawk Group and focus on promoting our high-quality Carpet Tiles. You’ll be responsible for developing strong relationships with commercial clients including fit-out companies, flooring contractors, and regional distributors. You’ll also leverage your network within the A&D (Architects & Designers) and D&B (Design & Build) communities to drive specification sales and grow our market presence.
Your responsibilities include
1. Drive sales growth within the Midlands territory by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing client relationships.
2. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed targets.
3. Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits to understand needs and offer tailored solutions.
4. Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the project and construction sectors.
5. Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
6. Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, customer service) to ensure seamless project execution.
7. Maintain accurate records and forecasts using CRM tools.

8. A proven track record in sales, especially in closing deals and managing a sales pipeline.
9. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to quickly understand technical product details.
10. Excellent communication skills: active listening, persuasive storytelling, and confident presenting.
11. Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
12. A creative, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for problem-solving.
13. Knowledge of the UK flooring or construction industry is a strong advantage.
14. Proficiency in CRM systems and digital communication tools.
15. A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a customer-first mindset.
