and main responsibilities
Appraisal and review.
Maintain staffing areas in accordance with department and Trust
policies and development to improve the Audiology administrative
service.
Manage day-to-day effective operation of all Audiology administrative
areas, including assessing appropriate staffing levels and
communicating staffing shortfalls.
Complete sickness absence forms and conduct return to work
interviews with members of the admin and clerical staff group within
Audiology as required.
Provide support and advice for the development of individuals and
the administration team.
Abide by the performance review and objective setting procedures
undertaken in the department.
Provide reasonable, appropriate and effective cover in the absence of
other team members.
Train more junior members of the office team in the use of Cerner
and Auditbase and assist when required.

Knowledge and experi-ence
Essential criteria
1. Experience in managing confidential information
2. Extensive experience in administration
3. Dealing with sensitive information
Desirable criteria
4. Previous experience working in NHS/GP
5. Previous experience of hospital Cerner and Auditbase
Skills, abilities and attributes

6. Excellent communication skills.
7. MS Office skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure.
Education

9. NVQ Level 3 in Business Admin, BTEC or equivalent level of education
