We are seeking a skilled tradesperson with strong supervisory skills and a comprehensive understanding of health and safety for the role of Maintenance Supervisor.
CONTRACT AND PAY RATE
The role carries a permanent contract of 37.5 hours per week. Shifts will vary, typically starting from 08:00am and finishing by 18:00pm. The position is generally Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend working required.
PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Carry out a broad range of maintenance tasks, including installing, maintaining, decorating, light plumbing, tiling, light joinery, PAT testing, grouting and silicone work.
* Support in the coordination of schedules to ensure the fabric of the building is both aesthetically well‑maintained and wholly compliant with all areas of legislation, completing necessary checks and records.
* Ensure that all tasks, requests, and project work is carried out to high finishing standards and in a timely manner, meeting agreed timescales on project work.
* Ensure that the planned maintenance schedules and project schedules are kept up to date.
* Work closely with all departments especially Housekeeping to maintain company standards within guest bedrooms and public areas. Carry out planned preventive maintenance as well as reactive maintenance of the building and its grounds.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
* Have at least two years’ experience in a maintenance‑based role, with a strong aptitude for carrying out a wide range of maintenance tasks.
* Previous experience in specific trades such as tiling, plastering or plumbing.
* Fully computer literate and confident using maintenance or compliance systems.
* Experience working within an accommodation‑based commercial environment such as hotels, new‑build housing or rented accommodation is strongly preferred.
* Strong attention to detail with consistently high standards of workmanship and presentation.
* Able to work at pace while supporting and guiding others, with the ability to take initiative where required.
* Good understanding of health and safety protocols and supporting compliance within a maintenance environment.
* Confident in carrying out and supporting a broad range of general maintenance tasks, with a solid technical understanding.
