We are working in partnership with a leading regional law firm that is experiencing strong, sustained growth across the Midlands. Financially robust and highly regarded for its client service and legal expertise, the firm offers a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. As part of its ongoing expansion, the firm is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor (5+ years PQE) to join its thriving employment law team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented employment law generalist to handle a diverse caseload of contentious and non-contentious matters, acting for both employers and employees. You'll be part of a well-established team with an excellent reputation, advising a broad range of clients from SMEs to larger corporates, as well as individual employees and executives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advising on a full spectrum of employment law matters, including disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancy, TUPE, contracts, and workplace policies. Both contentious and non-contentious.
* Managing Employment Tribunal claims from initial instruction through to final hearing.
* Supporting corporate colleagues on employment aspects of transactional work.
* Advising employer clients on day-to-day HR and employment law issues.
* Representing employee clients in disputes, settlement agreements, and negotiations.
* Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Supporting business development initiatives and helping grow the firm's employment practice.
About You:
* Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience in employment law.
* A broad range of experience covering both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
* Solid experience advising and representing clients in unfair dismissal, breach of contract, and discrimination claims, with the ability to manage tribunal proceedings independently.
* Comfortable advising both employers and employees.
* Strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to build rapport with clients.
* Able to manage a busy caseload independently while contributing to the wider team.
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality legal services.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent - (with hybrid/flexible working options)
