OB are currently working with a high-growth Series A company building a sophisticated data platform used to monitor and generate insights across a portfolio of real-world assets.
Their product sits at the intersection of backend engineering, data infrastructure, and applied machine learning, turning complex, large-scale datasets into meaningful, actionable outputs.
🔧 The Opportunity
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing and scaling the core data platform. You’ll be building the systems that power data ingestion, processing, and downstream analytics.
You’ll collaborate closely with data scientists and product teams to bring data-driven features into production, while helping shape the technical direction as the platform evolves.
🛠What You’ll Be Doing
* Develop and scale backend systems for high-throughput data ingestion
* Architect and optimise data pipelines for reliability and performance
* Partner with ML teams to deploy data-led features into production
* Enhance system observability, scalability, and resilience
* Play a key role in technical and architectural decision-making
✅ What They’re Looking For
* Strong Python experience in backend or data-centric environments
* Proven experience building scalable data pipelines and distributed systems
* Solid understanding of databases, APIs, and data modelling
* Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.)
* Familiarity with both OLTP and OLAP systems
* Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, product-driven environment
