We are currently recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Manufacturing Planning Manager to join an established engineering and manufacturing business in the Kidderminster area.
As the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for leading planning initiatives to ensure customer requirements can be manufactured and delivered to expectations.
This role will require proven hands-on expertise in using Microsoft Excel to an advanced level, to create pivot tables, lookups and formulas, and migrating data to MRP systems.
Planning Manager – Responsibilities:
Understand customer requirements and create detailed build plans and production schedules
Allocate materials, equipment and labour to meet delivery targets
Use Microsoft Excel to a high functional level and be involved in future MRP implementations
Work closely with other departments such as sales, production, procurements and logistics to ensure all business functions are aligned
Lead, manage and grow a motivated planning team including training and development of skills.
Monitor performance, identify issues, and implement process improvements
Planning Manager - Skills & Experience required:
Proven experience in leading planning or scheduling roles within a manufacturing business
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills to create; Pivot Tables, V-lookups, Formulas and Macros
Strong ability to lead and motive a team of planners and schedulers
Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable skills & Experience:
Experience gained within complex and/or high-mix manufacturing environments
Migrating Excel Planning to MRP Systems
Familiar with Lean Manufacturing methods
Sage 200 and Sicon Manufacturing knowledge and experience
