NOV is seeking a HSE Advisor to join the HSE team based in Manchester, Greater Manchester, England, UK.
Job Description
As an HSE Advisor, you will utilize your knowledge and skills to promote a positive Health and Safety culture in the workplace. You will support various projects to meet the requirements of the Health, Safety and Environment Management systems. Your role involves assisting site teams and managers by recognizing hazards and seeking methods to minimize risks, while creating, maintaining, and improving HSE standards. You will also champion HSE initiatives, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide guidance and training to promote a proactive health and safety culture.
* Offer consistent HSE advice to all employees.
* Identify hazards and assist in risk minimization strategies.
* Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
* Maintain and develop HSE management systems to comply with standards like ISO 14001 and 45001.
* Lead compliance audits and create awareness campaigns.
* Support emergency response and monitor PPE use.
* Manage contractor activities and coordinate medical surveillance.
Environmental Responsibilities
* Monitor and review environmental impact assessments.
* Update environmental monitoring data and promote environmental awareness.
* Assist in minimizing environmental impacts.
Administrative Duties
* Develop and maintain HSE documentation and training materials.
* Conduct training and site inductions.
* Participate in audits, inspections, and HSE meetings.
Qualifications & Skills
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
* Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment advising on HSE matters.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
