What you’ll be doing
We are seeking experienced Mental Health Social Workers to join our specialist team. You will carry out assessments, care planning, and service purchasing within the framework of the Care Act (2014) and other relevant legislation, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health support.
You will manage a caseload, providing advice, therapeutic interventions, and advocacy for clients and carers. The role involves working with individuals who may have complex needs or be difficult to engage, delivering evidence-based psychosocial interventions, and coordinating services to meet bio-psycho-social needs. You will also review supported living and rehabilitation placements, undertake safeguarding enquiries, and complete Care Act assessments and reviews using the Local Authority System (LAS).
Additional responsibilities include negotiating and monitoring service delivery with providers, preparing reports for panels and courts, and contributing to service development, policy work, and training. You will support and supervise students and junior social workers, and participate in ongoing professional development to promote good practice across the service.
