This is an exciting opportunity to join Elysium Healthcare as a Deputy Hospital Director at The Chimneys Clinic in Bury St Edmunds. As a senior clinician or existing Deputy Hospital Director with extensive experience in mental health settings, you will have the chance to lead a team, shape the culture, and positively impact the service delivery. This temporary role will see you supporting the Hospital Director, managing clinical and non-clinical teams, and being the Clinical Lead for Quality and Compliance.
Main duties of the job
As a Deputy Hospital Director, you will take on a key role in ensuring the success of the service at The Chimneys Clinic. Reporting to the Hospital Director, you will support the development and provision of a high-quality, bespoke pathway of care for the service users. You will have previous experience in project management, managing clinical and operational functions, and deputising for the Hospital Director in internal and external meetings. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is a detailed understanding of statutory regulations and regulatory processes.

As a senior member of the management team, you will be part of the on-call rota. There will be times you are asked to attend out of hours to conduct support visits and audits.
To be Successful as a Deputy Hospital Director you will:
* Have a relevant Clinical qualification and professional registration, for example Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work.
* Have multiple years Senior management experience in a Mental Health setting
* Be able to evidence management/leadership training and a willingness to complete our internal leadership training.
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Have Experience managing Clinical and Operational teams and creating a positive working environment.
* Be able to deal with multiple issues simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment.
* Have awareness of the wider Healthcare economy and political environment
* Have a detailed understanding of statutory regulations
* Be able to oversee and deliver site projects.
* Have experience in a mental health setting Knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes and the CQC.
* be up-to-date knowledge of legislation related to the patient group.
* Have experience in audits and Compliance within a clinical setting.
* Take part in the on-call rota

You will be working at The Chimneys Clinic, a 12 bedded service providing specialist care that is specifically designed to support women that have a diagnosis of an emerging or personality disorder.
Working alongside the multidisciplinary team at The Chimney’s, you will support with mindful practice, high levels of engagement and think on your feet to create activities to aid the recovery for each young woman within their journey.
The focus of the service is to enable the young women to work on ways to decrease harmful behaviours and replace them with effective strategies to enhance their lives and help them reach their personal life goals.
