Contract Type: Permanent Or Contract (Outside IR35) - Full Time
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil/Senior Or Principal Design Engineer to produce high-quality civil engineering design deliverables across the regulated water industry. You will play a key role in delivering safe, compliant, and efficient designs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and supporting the development of CAD technicians.
Key Responsibilities
1. Produce civil engineering design deliverables that meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
2. Prepare design calculations, drawings, reports, specifications, and design risk assessments
3. Deliver designs in accordance with relevant technical, professional, and water company standards
4. Carry out hydraulic calculations and prepare hydraulic profiles
5. Direct, mentor, and develop CAD technicians
6. Ensure all design changes are fully implemented, recorded, and controlled
7. Work in line with formal design processes and procedures
8. Assist with estimating design hours and input into project planning
