Brand & PR Manager – FTC to October 2027
As Brand & PR Manager, in this maternity cover role, you will lead a small team covering brand, PR and design, and own how the company’s story shows up across every channel. You will sit within the Marketing & Communications function and work closely with colleagues across digital, internal communications and go‑to‑market to deliver joined‑up campaigns and a consistent brand experience.
The business is a B2B focused financial services provider with over 500 employees and a well‑established market.
What you will be doing:
With a good cross‑over period mapped in with the current role holder you’ll get a clear understanding of the business, strategy and approach. Once her maternity leave begins you will lead the development and delivery of a clear brand, PR and design strategy. A key part of your role will be acting as a brand guardian – shaping visual identity, messaging and tone of voice, and embedding best practice across the organisation. You will combine strategic planning with hands‑on delivery, from media relations and crisis communications through to day‑to‑day marketing collateral.
* Own and deliver the brand, PR and design strategy across the full business portfolio.
* Act as a central brand custodian, keeping the brand proposition fresh, relevant and consistently applied.
* Manage and develop the Brand, PR and Design team, setting clear goals and supporting performance.
* Lead proactive media relations and support crisis communications planning and response.
* Monitor performance, track KPIs and manage budgets and key external partners.
About you:
You are an experienced brand and communications professional, comfortable operating in a complex B2B environment and influencing stakeholders at all levels. You enjoy leading and developing a team while remaining close to delivery and are able to move quickly when priorities shift.
You will bring:
* At least five years’ B2B services marketing experience including operating at a managerial level.
* Strong understanding of marketing best practice, from strategy and planning through to campaign delivery and data‑driven evaluation.
* Comfortable managing a direct team and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Availability to start within a quick timeframe and commitment to a fixed term contract of c17 months.
* A recognised degree in marketing, business administration or a related discipline, and ideally a CIM‑level marketing qualification.
* The ability to use AI tools ethically to enhance brand, PR and design work while maintaining accuracy and alignment.
Where You’ll Be Based:
This role offers Hybrid working with ideally 3 days per week in the high‑spec Newcastle head office.
