Main duties of the job
1. Develop knowledge, skills and experience in teaching and training
2. Gain experience in the assessment of learning and peer review of teaching
3. Gain experience of supervising and mentoring junior clinical colleagues with a commitment to medical education (e.g. academic foundation year doctors)
4. Contribute to the development of novel local teaching programmes
5. Contribute the organisation and delivery of the local widening access to medicine programme
6. Fulfil the requirements needed for an educational qualification (e.g. Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Medical Education) and/ or to meet the Professional Standards Framework for teaching and supporting learning in higher education (FHEA)
7. Maintain clinical practice in a relevant specialty

* MB ChB MRCP/ equivalent
