The Role:
As a Year 5 Teacher, you will play a vital role in preparing pupils for the transition into upper Key Stage 2 and ultimately Year 6. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, challenging lessons that stretch and support all learners, while fostering independence and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum
Prepare pupils for the increased expectations of Year 6
Use assessment data effectively to drive progress and attainment
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (placements considered for ECTs)
Strong knowledge of the Upper KS2 curriculum
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
A proactive, enthusiastic, and committed teaching approach
Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
