Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? SRM is gearing up for an exciting major construction programme in Port Talbot, South Wales, and we want you to be part of it! Over the next 3 to 4 years, we’ll be involved in heavy construction and civil engineering works across various industrial fronts, starting with enabling works in Q3: 2025.

The Package Engineer Role
As a vital member of our project team, reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will:
* Oversee the design, coordination, and management of multiple subcontractors across various trades.
* Interface with internal departments and external agencies, including Architects, Engineers, and Site Staff.
* Ensure that SRM’s obligations to subcontractors are clearly understood and met.
* Organize and conduct regular site progress meetings to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
* Keep the Chief Engineer and Project Manager/Director updated on all project issues.
Your Profile
We’re looking for someone with a focus on setting out who ideally:
* Holds a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Can prepare a 3-week look-ahead programme with the help of a project planner.
* Has proven experience in package management.
* Possesses experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator (a plus!).
* Is knowledgeable about building products, construction details, and relevant regulations.
* Is working towards or has a construction industry-related professional membership (e.g., ICE, CIOB, RICS, etc.).
