We are looking for an ambitious and committed lawyer to join the busy criminal department. You will manage your own caseload, represent clients in the Magistrates’ Court, and provide high-quality advice throughout the criminal process. Key Responsibilities: * Handling all aspects of work from police station attendances, Magistrates Court advocacy and Crown Court litigation Provide police station advice (24/7 rota participation may be required) * Handling a caseload of work within the Magistrates Court * Providing advice and advocacy within the Magistrates Court * Acting as Litigator on Crown Court cases * Prepare cases for trial and liaise with barristers and other professionals * Maintain case files and comply with Legal Aid and regulatory requirements * Servicing Duty Solicitor Rotas Requirements: * Recently qualified Solicitor (NQ) or CILEX-qualified with Magistrates’ Court advocacy rights * A strong understanding of criminal law and procedure * Excellent communication and advocacy skills * A proactive approach and ability to work independently * Police Station Accreditation (or willingness to obtain) * Full driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred What We Offer: * Supportive, experienced team to help you develop your advocacy and case management skills * Genuine career progression opportunities * Competitive salary and benefits * Ongoing training and CPD support Unfortunately due to the number of applications we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback to all applicants.
